Festival Underway in Algonac – Lion’s Club Annual Pickerel Tournament 2017

The 79th annual Algonac Lions Pickerel Tournament is underway!

And! you can still register to win the Whopper Prize for the biggest Pickerel (Walleye as some call them).  Besides the fishing, the Lion’s Club hosts a huge midway with A LOT of rides for all ages, food trucks, live music, beer tent along the waterfront, contests, and much more!

We stopped by this morning to see part of the Pickerel “Run/Walk”, along with the “Kayak Poker Paddle”, and the start of the “Kid’s Fishing Derby”.  There are many events planned, below is the full schedule.

Saturday July 1, 2017
