Float Down St. Clair River

The annual St. Clair River Float Down will be held on Sunday August 16, 2026.  This year will mark the 50th anniversary from when this began!

Great viewing areas are located on Port Huron’s many boardwalks.  Bring a chair and enjoy the event.  Starts at Lighthouse Beach Port Huron, travels under the Blue Water Bridge, and ends at the park in Marysville, MI on the St. Clair River.

*** The St. Clair River is CLOSED TO ALL VESSEL TRAFFIC, including freighters from noon to 6pm***.   1000s of individuals “floating, kayaking, and tubing” will come down the river together making it unsafe for any motorized vessels.  This is an unsanctioned event – water is very cold – wear a life jacket if you plan to participate.
