Lake St. Clair Area DNR Launches Closed – Or a Challenge!

Due to high water, as of May 16, 2019 the Michigan DNR “Deckers Launch” Ramp on the North Channel is closed. The Snooks Access site on Harsen’s Island is also mostly underwater (see photos below).

The DNR Deckers Launch Ramp temporarily closed is located just behind the North Channel off of Anchor Bay Drive in Clay Township.  See bottom of page for map along with alternate ramps near your target fishing day.

Also, if planning to launch on Harsen’s Island at the Snooks Access site on Middle Channel Drive across from Brown’s Bar, as of May 16 the parking lot was almost completely flooded.
