Fair Haven meets New Baltimore's eastern flank and is the beginning of St. Clair County. At the last census, Fair Haven reported just under 5,000 residents with an average age of 45.
The primary M29 lake front route through town is seasonally busy, especially in the peak summer months as this road also feeds Algonac & Harsens Island.

Winter ice is very popular on Bouvier Bay, as Lake St. Clair's north end is first to freeze each year. Ice fishermen are usually out in full force by Christmas week, with later January & February 1000's coming out for racing of every winter machine - Snowmobiles, 4x4's, SXS, Motorcycles and more!

Along M29 you'll see a variety of waterfront cottages and estates; along with just enough shopping of services & supplies you'll need during your visit. You'll also find a balanced amount of restaurant options from breakfast to fine dining. Even in the most of expensive of options, you'll find yourself sitting next to fishermen, hunters, local farmers & business owners all in casual attire.

On M29 in the center of Fair Haven you'll find marine & trailer store, along with accessories for both summer and winter sports at Schneiders Motorsports - who along with Teetor Marine sell new and used boats.  Need some repairs? Schneiders Motorsports offers full service and Coastline Power will take care of your trolling motor - or sell you a new one, along with getting power to your docks.
Need boat fuel and RV & Marine supplies?  Barrels & Vines / BP Fuel has groceries, marine supplies, huge liquor & beer selection along with regular and High Octane Fuel.  "Seasonally open" regular boat fuel is also available at Mayea Marine and Bouvier Bridge Marina who also has a RV & marine store on-site.
.... and if you don't have a boat, Lake St. Clair Boat Rentals along with Waverunners is also in this bay.
The largest retail store located on Lake St. Clair is also in Fair Haven! Stuck in Seaweed who is celebrating their 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! Come by car or boat! You may park in the transient wells at Mayea Marina where the Island Grill Clubhouse is located.

The Griffin & Batter Up are at the same building next to the launch ramp. The Griffin serves dinner from late afternoon on... and Batter Up is open 6m for breakfast.
