Marine City Dock & Boat Wells / Kayak Launch – FREE!
How and where to dock with free public wells in Marine City? Use these marina photos below on the Belle River to help bring your boat / kayak via the St. Clair River. Need a launch ramp? See below for details.
Use a FREE daily dock or seawall tie-up to enjoy the town a very short walk away! Marine City purchased the private marina on the "Belle River" for the 2023 season.
A short walk from the Marine city public docks is the downtown area.
A charming small strollable village midway between Lake St. Clair’s North Channel and the city of St. Clair, right on the St. Clair River.
As you exit the St. Clair River onto Marine City's Belle River to dock, you’ll immediately see Hook One Bait & Tackle filled with everything you’ll need for St. Clair River fishing, followed by the private Belle River Marina for fuel & supplies.
Immediately in sight is the bridge below (docks just on other side). If your vessel is too tall, there are seawall tie ups just before the bridge on the left. There’s probably 75’ or so of free city seawall for 2-3 boats.
Free boat dockage on right after the bridge and new kayak launch on the left.
Attention kayakers! There is plenty of parking on the marina side for your vehicle if the three spots next to the launch are full. You may drop off your kayak and walk across the bridge to park your vehicle.
Once you get tied up, head to town! Less than 200 yards walking down “Bridge Street” you’ll hit downtown’s Water Street where most of the action is! From this block to the last block is only 4/10’s of a mile of shops & restaurants... and don’t forget to turn the corner at the end of your walk to not miss the historic Newport Pub for a beverage.
