Temperature & Depth Update – Northern Lake St. Clair
Latest Lake St. Clair temperatures and depths were monitored Saturday June 14, 2025 via boat. Traveling the northern Bays, the swim areas are deep enough and accessible for most boats including Little Muscamoot, Munchies, and Naked Bay.
Using a 4′ stick for an “unscientific measurement”, visits were made to Lake St. Clair’s most popular swim areas… as well as passing through regular fishing locations in the North and Middle Channels.
Here is the latest update on water depths for Munchie’s Bay, Naked Bay, and Little Muscamoot Bay as of Saturday June 15, 2025:
Munchies: 4′ out front… and 3′ as you entered inside the bay. Water temperature 66 degrees.
Naked Bay: Traveling throughout the bay it was 4′ deep. As you went into the very back of the bay, it began to get shallower. 3′ in back of bay. Temperature 62 degrees.
Little Muscamoot Bay: Most of the bay was 4’… went as low as 3′ in spots. As you reached the back of the bay where traditionally boats “raft off” together, the depth is just under 3′. Water temperature in the middle of the bay is 65 degrees… back of bay 72 degrees.
***IMPORTANT TO NOTE! Please verify your boat electronic gauge. Our depth gauge reads 1′ less water than reality with a measuring stick. Always know our own draft before venturing into these shallower waters for swimming / fishing.
