Major League Fishing returns to Lake St. Clair beginning Saturday June 24 through Thursday June 29, 2023 for grand prize of up to $100,000 cash and a total event purse of more than $800,000.

Fans can watch the action live on all six days of competition from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Format of 2023 MLF Tournament 

Day 1: June 24 – Qualifying Round – Group A 

  • Forty anglers compete
  • Catch, weigh, immediate release
  • Each pro’s five heaviest bass per day will be scored
  • Total weight carries to Qualifying Day 2

Day 2: June 25 – Qualifying Round – Group B 

  • Forty anglers compete
  • Catch, weigh, immediate release
  • Each pro’s five heaviest bass per day will be scored
  • Total weight carries to Qualifying Day

Day 3: June 26 – Qualifying Round – Group A 

  • Forty anglers compete
  • Catch, weigh, immediate release
  • Each pro’s five heaviest bass per day will be scored
  • Day 1 + Day 3 = total weight
  • Anglers who finish in 1st-20th place advance to Knockout Round (Day 5)
  • NO AUTOMATIC ADVANCEMENT to the Championship Round for winning the Qualifying Rounds
  • Bottom 20 anglers are eliminated

Day 4: June 27 – Qualifying Round – Group B

  • Forty anglers compete
  • Catch, weigh, immediate release
  • Each pro’s five heaviest bass per day will be scored
  • Day 2 + Day 4 = total weight
  • Anglers who finish in 1st-20th place advance to Knockout Round (Day 5)
  • NO AUTOMATIC ADVANCEMENT to the Championship Round for winning the Qualifying Rounds
  • Bottom 20 anglers are eliminated

Day 5: June 28 – Knockout Round

  • Forty anglers compete
  • Catch, weigh, immediate release
  • Zero weight to start
  • Each pro’s five heaviest bass per day will be scored
  • Top 10 anglers advance to Championship Round
  • Bottom 30 anglers are eliminated
  • WEIGHTS DO NOT ZERO FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND. Top 10’s weights will carry over from the Knockout Round

Day 6: June 29 – Championship Round

  • Ten anglers compete
  • Catch, weigh, immediate release
  • Weights carried over from Knockout Round
  • Each pro’s five heaviest bass will be scored
  • Highest cumulative total weight from Knockout and Championship Rounds wins

 

Thursday, June 29, 1 – 6 p.m. Watch Party & Trophy Presentation

Fans of all ages are welcome to celebrate the top 10 and crown the General Tire Stage Six at Lake St. Clair Champion at the Watch Party and Trophy Presentation.

The final 10 Championship Round Bass Pro Tour anglers will be on hand at the trophy celebration to meet and greet fans, sign autographs, take photos and more.
