Walter and Mary Burke Park: Enjoy the sandy beach, fishing pier, picnic & pavilion areas, and a playground for kids....and take advantage of the free 16 daily boat wells (and near future overnight marina). Landmark: Tallest Flagpole in Michigan: A 160-foot flagpole stands as a landmark and is a popular spot for photos.

Historic Charm:
The downtown area features a mix of historic & modern architecture. Restoration is in progress on the cornerstone of town’s "Baker Building" which was built in 1868. The completed building will offer both residential and commercial space.

The city hosts various events most notably the weekly New Baltimore Farmers Market May-October, Bay-Rama Fishfly Festival June, Art on the Bay and Blues Fest and CountryFest in September. WinterFest February, and all summer weekly live music in the park ... there’s so many things to do on the calendar every month (see page 93)! Fins’ Eatery & Spirits

This Florida Keys-inspired venue features an "indoor" dining / tiki bar experience along with a lavish outdoor tropical garden, complete with heated cabanas, private fire pits, and the largest outdoor bar in New Baltimore for year-round enjoyment.
The menu ranges from daily brunch, light plates to burgers, burnt ends, pastas & bowls, several signature lobster dishes from lobster rolls to flatbreads, smoothies and NEW for 2026, Saturday/Sunday "Waffle Bar".
On the Bays full Tiki experience is complimented with many specialty drinks! Frozen and hand-crafted—cocktails are garnished with fresh fruit and festive decorations, evoking a vacation vibe.
As you stroll through the indoor Tiki Bar on your way out to the outdoor garden, you’ll pass the small boutique area of nautical themed apparel and gifts featuring Lake St. Clair and the Great Lakes Region.

Tashmoo Distilling
2026 marks the 3rd season for Tashmoo Distilling, a local gathering spot where familiar faces return and new friendships are made. The distillery boasts a unique distinction: it is the only Michigan distillery permitted to label its tequila as “tequila,” since it is sourced directly from the town of Tequila in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. They proudly serve other medal winning spirits such as last year’s winning Best Vodka in America, Grande Pointe Bourbon Whiskey, Gull Island Rum, & Blue Water Gin. Friendly bartenders seasonally craft inventive cocktails, served in elegant glassware. While meals aren’t available, guests can enjoy snack nuts or purchase a charcuterie board to share—making this an ideal stop before or after dinner. Both inside seating and a large outdoor patio with regular seasonal entertainment; and, dogs are welcome on the outdoor patio!
Washington Street Wine House
Celebrating 16 years downtown, Washington Street Wine House invites guests into a cozy space filled with the aroma of fermenting wines and a welcoming gift shop. Although the winery doesn’t serve food, it’s a great stop for a glass of wine while browsing whimsical gifts—perfect for both wine lovers and casual visitors. Thanks to New Baltimore’s “social district,” (see map page 92) patrons can stroll the town with a cocktail or glass of wine in hand. During the summer, refreshing wine slushies are available at the Wine House to help you cool off as well.
Bottles of bold reds, crisp whites, and sweet varieties are attractively wrapped, making thoughtful gifts at affordable prices. Complimentary tastings are offered before purchase.
The Pink House Tea Room and Cocktail Lounge
Overlooking the beachfront, The Pink House is a stunning 150-year-old Victorian-style home on Front Street, with unique dining areas decorated with fine furnishings, antiques, and period art. Guests can relax on the dog-friendly waterfront patio or enjoy the charming interior, where servers and bartenders provide an unhurried, entertaining experience. The menu includes European-inspired food and beverages. The “full experience” is a must do.
