Turtle Race St. Clair

4000 turtles were adopted and were on hand for the annual Turtle Race sponsored by the St. Clair Rotary.  Starting 2024, the annual event will take place the 1st Sunday "after Labor Day" weekend!  A fun - and funny - family event!

Adopt a Turtle around the town of St. Clair all throughout the summer up until minutes before race time for only $5.  Turtles are numbered and you'll have the chance to win one of $1000 in prizes.

Viewing is at the Rotary Park on the Pine River, just off M29 across from the St. Clair Boat Harbor.

The Turtle Race is a charity event and helps support community projects that we all may enjoy around the city of St. Clair.  Watch for our "Turtle" Tent around town at many events including the annual offshore races and Art on the River.  You may also find adoption papers at many local businesses.  You do not have to be present to win one of the grand prizes of $1,500, $1,000 and $500 in addition to many other prizes.

The very first race was held in 2021 and has become a popular annual event!  Come and watch for free, or adopt a turtle up to 15 minutes before race time and participate in the fun.
