9 Mile Launch Ramp Closes August 1, 2023 for Two Years

As of July 28, 2023, it is reconfirmed beginning Tuesday August 1 – the Lake St. Clair 9 Mile Public Boat Launch will be closed for up to 2 years.  This popular launch located at 9 Mile & Jefferson Avenue in the city of St. Clair Shores will close due to infrastructure improvements surrounding the ramps.

The next closest ramp is the Clinton River Cut-Off (CRCO) on Jefferson in Harrison Township.  This ramp is also temporarily closed – HOWEVER – work is in progress with State of Michigan approvals pending to HOPEFULLY have the CRCO ramp open by the end of September.

The next closest ramps in the meantime are Lake St. Clair Metropark – 16 Mile (park fee) and the Harley Ensign DNR State Ramp at the end of South River Road both in Harrison Township.

Lake St. Clair Guide will keep you posted on when these two important ramps re-open.

See map below (or click) for many alternative ramps around Lake St. Clair, St. Clair River, and the Channels.
